The Studio line is a stylish, modern take on traditional round backplates. They’re steeped in industrial history, but glass fronts and silky matt rockers give the finish a luxurious feel. This is the white, flush-mounted version of the range.

What you need to know
What’s in the box?
You will receive a modular rocker switch set, consisting of a switch insert, a rocker cover (or a set of them if you have chosen a 2-gang or 3-gang switch) and a 1-gang frame. (Set includes a bracket to connect frame and insert)

Where is this used in the home?
A 1-gang 2-way switch is commonly used for controlling a single light source from one or two places. A 1-gang intermediate is used as the middle switch of three, controlling a single light source (for example in a hallway). A 2-gang switch is used for controlling two light sources from one or two places. A 3-gang switch is commonly used for controlling three light sources from one or two places.
Installation
Because of the modular nature of European wiring accessories, installation is slightly different to fitting the encapsulated (moulded) switches and sockets common in the UK. Have a look at the step-by-step pictures below, or consult the more detailed Gira rocker switch installation instructions.

How deep does the back box need to be?
This needs a slightly deeper box, at least 35mm.
The concept
Round and square, black and white: The Gira Studio line focuses on contrasts and takes inspiration from old-fashioned, industrial light switch designs. The round, high-gloss glass frame mirrors the ambient light beautifully without feeling too harsh with its curvy elegance.
As a surface-mounted variant in hard-working studios, workshops or stylish warehouse conversions, or as a flush-mounted version in modern living areas - it's a concept that works for a whole range of interiors.
The range
Surface-mounted or flush-mounted, the Studio range is all about high-quality glass on shatterproof thermoplastic. You can of course install it as single or multiple units as well. In the surface-mounted version, matching conduit can be connected and extended.
