What’s in the box?

You will receive a modular rocker switch set, consisting of a switch insert, a rocker cover (or a set of them if you have chosen a 2-gang or 3-gang switch) and a 1-gang frame. (Set includes a bracket to connect frame and insert)

This is a 1-gang 2-way 10AX, 2-gang 2-way 10AX, 1-gang intermediate 10AX or a 3-gang 2-way 10AX switch

Where is this used in the home?

A 1-gang 2-way switch is commonly used for controlling a single light source from one or two places. A 1-gang intermediate is used as the middle switch of three, controlling a single light source (for example in a hallway). A 2-gang switch is used for controlling two light sources from one or two places. A 3-gang switch is commonly used for controlling three light sources from one or two places.

Yes, this product covers standard square knockout and drywall boxes comfortably.

How deep does the back box need to be?
This needs a slightly deeper box, at least 35mm.

The concept

In the Metal variety, the modernist spirit of the Esprit range is granted further sophistication through the use of a range of luxurious alloys. Where the Lino-Ply offers natural, soft and earthy neutrals and colours, and the Glass range creates soft reflections on your walls, Metal brings out the more striking and masculine side of Esprit. Edges are sharper, finishes are clearly defined and the sheer weight of the material gives it gravity (the solid Stainless Steel frame weighs a surprising 300 grams).

With four finishes - Silver, Bronze, Black and Gold - this flexible range makes individual, robust, design statements. Powerful and attractive, metal adds glamour to a contemporary interior.

The range

The Esprit Metal range is manufactured from two different hard-wearing metals: steel and aluminium. The stainless steel frames are naturally silver in hue, whereas the aluminium comes in four variations – silver, gold, black and bronze – achieved by a careful dying and brushing process. These switches are cool, yet textured and soft to the touch.

The various possibilities of colour and material are increased by the rocker choices – from glossy white to matt anthracite (and matt black coming soon) – allowing you to personalise both frame and rocker. Each combination will create a very different feel.

the detail

Esprit Metal switches are solid, significant, weighty pieces, which make an authoritative statement on the wall. The steel frame is a particularly substantial, masculine option, steel being heavier and more dense than aluminium. These switches mean business.

However, despite metal’s natural strength, all of the switches in this range (bar the mirror chrome of course) are gently brushed to slightly soften the look and add texture. Classy switches which express a gentle strength.

The inspiration

Metal is a world of contrasts – on the one hand it radiates sheen and glamour, on the other it speaks of utility and industry. Use these switches to say either (or both) in your home. Whichever way you go, these metal switches will provide strong statements, contrasting with the softer, more 'Yin' aspects of your interior.
