Jung LS 990 Anthracite Aluminium Sockets

A modern classic in switch design, admired by architects since 1967 for its restrained, clean lines, now available as British Standard sockets. This dark metal version features a matt finish in two subtle neutral colours. The isolating switches and socket holes are in a dark plastic (safety regulations don’t allow metal ones).

Jung sockets are available with and without small isolation switches. Unswitched sockets are less common in the UK, but they are perfectly safe and compliant with building regulations.

A 1-gang 2-way switch is commonly used for controlling a single light source from one or two places. A 1-gang intermediate is used as the middle switch of three, controlling a single light source (for example in a hallway).

Does this cover a standard UK back box?
This product covers a standard metal knockout box, but it doesn't cover the edges of plastic "dry-lining" boxes. If you can't fit a metal flush box, we recommend using "flat plate" drywall boxes or European round boxes.

How deep does the back box need to be?
This needs a slightly deeper box, at least 35mm.
